Prevost Piping Systems

Compressed Air Pipework from an Approved Prevost Distributor
SWP Compressed Air Services is an approved Prevost distributor, supplying the Prevost Piping System 100% aluminium compressed air network across the South of England. It’s a modular pipework range that runs from the compressor room to the point of use, built entirely from lightweight aluminium pipe and fittings that assemble in minutes and pressurise straight away.
Whether you’re replacing corroded steel, extending an existing line or fitting out a new facility, we’ll design and install a leak-free network sized to your demand, then support it as your compressed air partner. We cover Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Essex and London.
Prevost Piping System Range
The Prevost Piping System covers the whole network, from a single workstation drop up to a 160mm main line feeding a full production site. Your system will be built from the pipe, the fittings and the PPS SQ workstation line.

PPS aluminium pipe
Ten diameters, from 16mm to 160mm, in 100% aluminium, calibrated without welding. The smooth bore keeps pressure loss low, and it’s quick to handle and install thanks to being around a third of the weight of steel.

PPS fittings
100% aluminium fittings built around the PPS Grip Concept. Push the pipe in, tighten the nut and pressurise immediately. A stainless steel toothed ring grips the aluminium while a lubricated seal makes the connection leak-free.

PPS SQ workstation
Point-of-use distribution that turns a bench or machine into an air source. The PPS SQ profile fixes to the bottom of your existing drops, feeding workstations, assembly lines and control cabinets in a way that’s compact & reliable.

Premium Distributor
UK approved distributor for Prevost Piping Systems
SWP Compressed Air Services Ltd are an approved UK distributor for the Prevost Piping System, offering full technical support and advice to make sure the right pipe, fittings and layout are specified for your application.
We design complete aluminium networks for workshops, factories and multi-site facilities, storing stock on site for quick installs, without long lead times, and repairs or replacements when required.
With sixty years of combined experience across the compressed air industry, and as part of the family-owned SWL Group, we’re trusted to install, extend and maintain your pipework so air keeps flowing efficiently, with fewer leaks and lower pressure drops.

PPS aluminium pipe
PPS pipe is extruded from EN AW 6063 T6 aluminium alloy, calibrated without welding, and rated for working pressures up to 16 bar across a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C. Internal and external treatments plus an electrostatic paint finish protect it against corrosion, while the smooth internal bore gives a laminar flow that holds pressure loss to a minimum.
The range runs across ten outside diameters from 16mm to 160mm, in RAL 5012 blue and RAL 7001 grey as standard, with green available on selected sizes. The same pipe also carries vacuum and inert gases.

PPS fittings and the Grip Concept
Every PPS fitting has a body and nut machined entirely from aluminium, which keeps the whole network to one material and one thermal behaviour. Connections rely on the PPS Grip Concept: a stainless steel ring whose teeth bite into the aluminium pipe as you tighten the nut, locking it in place. A contoured, lubricated seal with two Teflon-coated lobes then holds the joint leak-tight, staying sealed even with a couple of degrees of misalignment.
When we install for our clients, assembly is quick: insert the pipe, tighten, and pressurise immediately, with no welding or glueing. Each fitting is engraved with the Prevost logo and marked with an arrow, pressure rating and diameter, keeping inspections and maintenance simpler.

PPS SQ workstation air distribution
If your operators are still dragging hoses across the floor, the PPS SQ line stops that and brings compressed air right to the bench. It’s a slim aluminium profile, 30 x 45mm with a 25mm bore, that fixes to the bottom of your existing PPS drops and turns each workstation into its own air source.
It can be run along an assembly bench, a machine line or a control cabinet, and take-off points, regulators and couplings can be added where your operators most need them. It comes in 1m or 2m sections, in blue or grey, rated to 16 bar. The result is a tidier, safer workspace that’s much easier to access air from.
Prevost Video
Prevost has produced a set of short videos covering cutting, assembly and installation of the PPS network. Whether you’re planning a job or checking a technique on site, these videos are here to help and show their products in action.
Areas we supply
We supply and install Prevost pipework across the South of England, working from our Southampton headquarters and our Essex base to reach sites in five counties. From a single workstation to a full factory, our engineers survey, design and fit aluminium networks to suit the building and the air demand, and then support you to keep them at their best.
